About the Role
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on mechanic to take ownership of maintaining and repairing our golf course equipment. This isn't a dealership environment where everything is new and parts are simply replaced. Our fleet has seen years of hard work, and we're looking for someone who enjoys diagnosing problems, fabricating repairs when needed, and keeping equipment operating reliably.
If you've spent years working on tractors, turf equipment, farm machinery, small engines, or anything mechanical, and take pride in making older equipment run like it should, we'd like to hear from you.
Our fleet includes Toro mowing equipment, one Jacobsen mower, Club Car golf carts, Kubota tractors, and a variety of small engines and maintenance equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain golf course equipment and vehicles.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacement, blade grinding and sharpening, adjustments, and seasonal servicing.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and mechanical systems.
- Perform welding and light fabrication to repair or improve equipment when appropriate.
- Maintain maintenance records and help manage parts inventory.
- Work closely with the Superintendent and maintenance staff to keep equipment safe, reliable, and ready for daily operation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing equipment, machinery, tractors, or small engines.
- Ability to independently diagnose and solve mechanical problems.
- Welding and fabrication experience is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Experience with turf equipment is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs during the busy golf season.
- Valid driver's licence.
What We Offer
- Competitive wage (based on experience)
- Flexible scheduling where operationally possible
- Complimentary golf privileges
- A friendly, supportive work environment where your experience and craftsmanship are valued
We're looking for someone who enjoys repairing equipment properly, takes pride in their work, and understands that keeping an older fleet operating reliably takes experience, creativity, and good judgment.
