Springfield Golf and Country Club, located in the south end of Guelph, is seeking outgoing, energetic servers to join our club's front of house team for the remainder of the year (September through mid-December).
We are looking to fill positions for Banquet and possibly Restaurant.
The hours will fluctuate (roughly 2-6 shifts a month).
Majority of the hours are after 3 or 4PM on weekdays (Tuesday through Friday) and anytime after 10AM on weekends (Saturday & Sunday).
The possibility to incorporate some restaurant shifts for a server with previous restaurant table service experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serving large banquet-style meals collaboratively with a team of servers
- Setting up and tearing down of banquet rooms
- Bartending, including; mixing drinks, pouring draft, tracking consumption and checking IDs
- Operating the POS system and handling cash
- Daily cleaning, organizing and stocking of service & kitchen areas
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
IF APPLICABLE;
- Providing engaging table service in the restaurant alongside fellow servers
- Answering the phone, taking food orders, and making reservations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ontario Smart Serve Certification.
- Open availability, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work quickly and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to move quickly and physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform moderately heavy lifting (moving tables and chairs, carrying large trays of dishes, and handling kegs & beer cases).
- Previous restaurant or banquet experience is considered a significant asset.
