Job Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Dietitian to serve as the clinical partner for a growing functional health coaching practice.
This role involves reviewing client intake data, authorizing functional lab orders through lab practitioner portals, and collaborating on complex cases. The ideal candidate will be reliable, comfortable working asynchronously, and open to learning functional testing methodology. This position offers flexible remote work, steady contract income without client acquisition, and hands-on exposure to advanced functional medicine panels including metabolic, gut, hormone, and epigenetic testing. No functional testing experience required — full onboarding provided.
Responsibilities:
- Review client intake data and clinical rationale for recommended panels before authorizing lab orders
- Place lab orders through practitioner portals
- Exercise judgment on panel appropriateness
- Maintain clinical documentation and compliance standards
- Collaborate on complex cases as needed
- Maintain 24 hour turnaround on lab sign-offs
- Coordinate with the founder on client onboarding and testing timelines
- Flag any results requiring clinical follow-up or referral
Skills:
- Active Registered Dietitian credential with provincial regulatory body (e.g., CDO, CDHM, CDBC)
- Comfortable working remotely and asynchronously
- Strong organizational skills with reliable turnaround on time-sensitive tasks
- Clear written communication for clinical documentation
- Willingness to learn functional testing methodology including metabolic, gut, and hormone panels
- Ability to manage multiple client orders simultaneously across different lab platforms
- Professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain
- New graduates with active credentials encouraged to apply
Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
