We are currently looking for a permanent full-time Heavy-Duty Trailer Technician to join our team at our Saskatoon location.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will provide advanced technical expertise in trailer systems, troubleshoot complex operational issues, and serve as the department's subject matter expert for hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and air systems both internally with team members and externally with customers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Interpret and troubleshoot hydraulic schematics, electrical schematics, air brake schematics, pneumatic control systems, trailer wiring diagrams, and ABS and auxiliary control systems
- Diagnose root causes of system failures and production issues
- Verify proper operation of integrated trailer systems and leading technical investigations involving trailer system performance
- Conduct advanced system audits and troubleshooting
- Support engineering investigations and process improvements
- Provide technical approval authority for troubleshooting and repair actions
- Act as a technical mentor for the department
- Train team members on system operation, schematic interpretation, diagnostic techniques and root cause analysis
- Support both the onboarding of new team members and the development and certification of current team members
- Recommend process improvements
- Work directly with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Finance and Purchasing
- Actively engage with customers both in the plant and in the field
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Training or certification in hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics. advanced air brake certification and quality assurance is required
- Training in blueprint reading and advanced schematic interpretation
- Knowledge and experience in welding, industrial spray painting and heavy duty mechanics
- Expert understanding of trailer systems
- Advanced fault-finding and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to be recognized as the internal technical expert for trailer finishing and system functionality.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
