Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) women to provide exceptional care and assistance to woman in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for caregiving, with experience in senior care, working with individuals with disabilities, and dementia care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring support with daily activities and health management. The position involves hands-on caregiving, ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being for clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health status
- Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors and individuals with disabilities
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Assist with mobility and transfer techniques to prevent falls or injuries
- Support clients with cognitive challenges such as dementia through specialized care approaches
- Document care provided and report any changes in health or behavior to supervisors
- Follow care plans accurately while maintaining client dignity and independence
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus
- Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently
- Strong communication skills and patience when working with vulnerable populations
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if necessary
- Ability to work independently while following established care plans
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
