CNC Machinist/Programmer
We are currently recruiting CNC Machinist/Programmers
Scope: Reporting to and under the direction of Manager Machining Dept., this position is responsible for the programming, setting-up, and operating various CNC Machines, cutting cavities, drilling, boring, reaming, tapping, and facing of various sized metal work pieces during the course of the mould/die build or repair according to customer specifications and requirements. This is an hourly rated position.
Qualifications : Minimum education level preferred is Grade 12 or equivalent. The successful completion of a Machining or Mould/Die Making course through a recognized College or other learning institute, coupled with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in programming with PowerMill, setting up, and operating of 3 AXIS CNC machines a definite asset. Must have strong mathematical skills, ability to read and interpret blueprints, good attendance record, good analytical skills, physical ability to handle all tools and equipment as necessary, be able to work overtime as required and be able to operate overheard crane & hoist systems safely. Familiarity with Heidenhain, Selca and Fanuc controls would also be an asset.
