About the Role
Millwright Technician will be part of the Maintenance Team and be responsible for hydraulic systems, rotating equipment Maintenance and overhauls across the site.
Millwright Technician will report to the Mechanical Maintenance Team Lead.

You will use your expertise to:
- Support site continuous improvement both in terms of efficiency but also digitalization initiatives and opportunities to drive best in class performance
- Support Turnaround and Major Maintenance Teams, as required, to provide site expertise and guidance during pre-work phases and execution.
- Act as a mentor for apprentices to share knowledge and experience to better enable efficiency and best in class performance.
To be successful, you will have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in the Millwright trade in an industrial setting
- Journey Person with Red Seal qualification
- Experience coaching/mentoring apprentices and less experienced Millwrights
- Centrifugal and reciprocating Pump/Compressor experience
- Mechanical seal experience
- Hydraulic system maintenance experience
- Belt drive and cooling fan maintenance experience
- High level of manual handling and rigging experience
- Dual trade aconsidered an asset (Instrumentation, Machinist, etc.)
- Heavy manufacturing facility experiences an asset (Pulp and Paper, Mining, Upgrading, Refining, Aviation etc.)
- Turbine overhauls experience an asset (Frame or Aero Derivative)
- Cryogenic experience an asset
- Knowledge of CMMS to execute and provide work feedback.
- Both fluent and articulate in English
This role requires that you:
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
- Live in the beautiful District of Stikine (Kitimat/Terrace). - Have a valid Driver’s License
- Are willing to comply with LNGC’s drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.
- Know that this role may be expected to be on call on a rotational basis with potential operation shift coverage during the year and/or during site specific situations.
- Know that during Turnaround Campaign Maintenance events will require additional effort including longer hours and shift work
- Are willing to work outdoors during inclement weather in all seasons including heavy snowfall and periods of heavy rain.
- Are able to climb ladders and stairs, work at heights and in confined spaces. Plant design conditions provide structures that are significantly taller than common in industry; individuals must be comfortable with heights as well as travel to and from the workface at heights.
- Know that this is not a fly-in, fly-out rotation role.
