Job Description
We are looking for a reliable Handyman to join our team in Toronto, ON. This is a general maintenance role for furnished apartments, ideal for someone who is practical, resourceful, and comfortable handling a variety of basic maintenance tasks.
Main Responsibilities
- Performing general maintenance and minor repairs in furnished apartments
- Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall touch-ups
- Assembling and repairing furniture
- Assisting with apartment move-ins and move-outs, including moving furniture and setting up apartments
- Replacing light bulbs, smoke detector batteries, locks, and other basic fixtures
- Reporting maintenance issues that require specialized contractors
- Coordinating with the Operations team to prioritize maintenance requests
- Responding to occasional urgent maintenance needs
Requirements
- Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a similar role
- Comfortable performing a wide range of basic repair and maintenance tasks (expert-level skills are not required)
- Ability to work independently and solve everyday maintenance issues
- Good communication skills in English
- Own transportation is an asset
- Own basic tools are preferred
- Flexible availability based on maintenance requests
Compensation
- CAD 30/hour (Freelance contract)
- Flexible schedule – work is assigned based on maintenance requests
- Bi-weekly payments via Wise, Payoneer, or Canadian bank account
