Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set to handle various maintenance and repair tasks efficiently. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent customer service skills, and the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team. The Handy Man will play a crucial role in ensuring that facilities are well-maintained and operational.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Fabricate and install fixtures, fittings, and other components as needed.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Supervise and lead small teams on specific projects or repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, plumbing, welding, and general repairs.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise others effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure.
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to maintenance work is essential.
