Duties
- Lead and motivate the service department team to achieve operational goals and deliver outstanding customer experiences
- Oversee daily service operations, including scheduling repairs, managing workflow, and ensuring timely completion of vehicle services
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing transparent communication, resolving concerns promptly, and upselling additional services when appropriate
- Manage dealership repair orders, ensure accurate cash handling, and oversee parts inventory for efficiency
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue through upselling maintenance packages and additional automotive services
- Monitor technician performance, provide coaching, and facilitate ongoing training to enhance technical skills and mechanical knowledge
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, dealership policies, and industry regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes and mechanical systems
- Prior mechanic experience is highly desirable to facilitate effective communication with technicians and understand technical issues
- Demonstrated ability in customer service with excellent communication skills to build lasting client relationships
- Strong sales acumen with experience in upselling services and handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of automotive parts, repairs, diagnostics, and industry best practices
- Leadership skills to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
