Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker/Order Picker to join our dynamic distribution team. This role involves efficiently selecting, loading, and unloading products within a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse operations, heavy equipment, and inventory management systems to ensure accurate order fulfillment and smooth warehouse functioning.
Duties
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders using warehouse management systems
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure products are stored according to safety standards
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including documentation and inventory updates
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Support warehouse management in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals and deadlines
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction is preferred, but not required, training will be provided
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and load/unload items safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate order picking
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and procedures
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is a plus
