Assembly Team Member - Afternoon Shift (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM)
Location: Okanagan Falls, BC
Unit Electric is a busy and growing manufacturing facility located in Okanagan Falls, BC. We are looking for positive and reliable individuals to join our afternoon assembly team. for the afternoon shift from 4:00pm - 12:00am.
In this role, you'll work alongside the Supervisor in a fast-paced production environment where teamwork, quality and a strong work ethic are essential. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in contributing to the team.
This position is part of the United Steelworkers bargaining unit and is covered by the terms of the Collective Agreement.

Unit Electric designs and manufactures standard and custom electrical power, distribution and control equipment for mining, renewable energy, oil & gas, commercial, industrial and transportation.

Summary of what you will do:
- Assemble modular buildings according to specifications
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools
- Operate overhead crane and forklifts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform inspections and report any defects or issues
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in manufacturing, construction is an asset
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team orientated environment
- Capable of meeting the physical demands of the position including bending, crouching, kneeling, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Experience operating hand and power tools
- The ability to read and understand work orders, written instructions and blueprints
- Capable of communicating and collaborating with others in a respectful and professional way
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work overtime and afternoon shift as needed
