Term: September 2026 – April 2027 or January-August 2027 (8 Months)
SDG Chartered Professional Accountants is a boutique CPA firm specializing in small business, high-net-worth, cross-border taxation, and tax planning. We're looking for a motivated Tax Co-op Student who wants hands-on experience in public practice while working directly with experienced CPAs.
Important: This position is strictly for students enrolled in an approved university co-op program. You must be approved by your university for an 8-month consecutive full-time co-op work term (September 2026–April 2027 or January-August 2027). Students seeking summer internships, part-time work, or non-co-op placements will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist with T1, T2, and GST/HST returns
- Communicate with the CRA on client matters
- Assist with client administration, invoicing, scheduling, and accounts receivable
- Write tax-related articles for the firm's website
- Support project coordination and other administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Business or Commerce degree with an approved university co-op program
- Graduating in 2027
- Successfully completed Tax I and Tax II with a minimum grade of B (preferred)
- Strong understanding of personal and corporate taxation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Profile Tax Software is an asset
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
