Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Car Mechanic to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with automotive repairs, and the ability to diagnose and fix a variety of vehicle issues efficiently. Prior dealership experience, welding skills, and familiarity with schematics are highly valued. Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using various tools and schematics
- Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other vehicle systems
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for repairs and maintenance
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components with precision
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Assist with the installation of aftermarket parts or accessories
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs and solutions clearly
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems
- Dealership experience is a plus but not required
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and maintenance
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify issues quickly and accurately
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship
- Good communication skills for effective customer interaction and teamwork
