Job Description: Skilled Labourer
Reporting to: Foreman
Pay Rate: Based on skill level of applicant
Brief Description:
- Our role of Skilled Labourer is responsible for providing a high quality of workmanship under the leadership of our Foreman.
- Our Skilled Labourer will engage with a positive attitude and seek to understand the specific job tasks perform executing, while maintaining a strong appreciation for job site safety and cleanliness.
** NOTE - We are a full-scale landscaping company and do not do maintenance. **
General Required Skillset & Tasks:
- Strong communication
- Willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic and ability to work with others
- Recognize safe operating procedures and proper training on equipment
- Uphold our safety culture and safe work practices
- Basic use of non-powered tools
- Physically capable with the ability to lift 50lbs, Bend, rotate and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to transit to job sites
Beneficial Skills (but not required):
- 1+ years experience in landscaping, construction or physical labour position
- Valid and clean driver’s license
- First Aid Certification
- Power tool experience
- Equipment use experience with applicable certifications; specifically in skid steer and excavator
- Trailer use experience
- Able to operate company trucks with and without trailers and demonstrate responsible driving
- Operate a variety of equipment:
- Skid steers; with a variety of controls and attachments
- Excavator
- Mechanical compaction equipment
- Perform equipment maintenance and daily checks, ensure all equipment is in proper working order
Required PPE:
- Steel toed boots
- Safety glasses
- Hearing protection
- Gloves
