We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our EU-GMP-certified medical cannabis facility and international export hub. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant who wants to move beyond routine reporting and play a key role in building scalable finance processes within a fast-growing international business.
You will work closely with senior leadership and international teams, helping ensure financial integrity while shaping the future of the finance function.

Salary: Up to CA$110000 per annum
As Senior Financial Accountant, you will lead the month-end close process and financial reporting activities while supporting the Financial Controller in strengthening controls, improving processes, and enabling business growth.
This is a highly visible role offering exposure to operations, supply chain, and global stakeholders across Curaleaf International.
Key Responsibilities:

Own and lead the full month-end close cycle.

Act as the primary finance contact during close periods.

Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Produce group reporting packs and investigate financial variances.

Maintain control and integrity of key balance sheet accounts.

Manage invoicing and accounts receivable processes end-to-end.

Ensure timely collections and accurate ageing reporting.

Apply US GAAP / IFRS revenue recognition principles across manufacturing, wholesale, and service revenue streams.

Support and progressively assume ownership of inventory valuation and standard costing.

Analyse cost of goods sold and operational variances.

Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure inventory accuracy.

Maintain compliance with US GAAP/IFRS and internal control requirements.

Review work prepared by shared services or junior team members.

Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to reduce close timelines and enhance data quality.

Provide financial analysis and project support to the Financial Controller.
You are a proactive finance professional who enjoys improving processes, solving problems, and working in a dynamic, high-growth environment. You combine strong technical accounting expertise with commercial awareness and a collaborative mindset.
Essential:

CPA designation (or equivalent: ACA, CA, CGA, CMA).

Progressive accounting experience in a senior-level role.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS, particularly revenue recognition and inventory accounting.

Proven experience managing month-end close and financial reporting cycles.

Advanced Excel skills and experience working within ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Business Central, or similar).

Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and international teams.

Experience within pharmaceutical, cannabis, life sciences, or manufacturing environments.

Exposure to cost accounting in manufacturing operations.

Experience working within multi-entity or shared services finance structures.
