We are seeking reliable and hardworking General Labourers to support daily operations at a busy junkyard and recycling facility in Vancouver. This role is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, safety-conscious, and comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, move, and organize scrap metal, recyclable materials, and vehicle parts
- Load and unload materials manually or with equipment assistance
- Assist with yard clean-up and general site maintenance
- Dismantle and separate recyclable materials as directed
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and work instructions
- Support yard operations and assist supervisors with various labour tasks
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous labour, recycling, construction, warehouse, or industrial experience is an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Steel-toe safety boots required
- Forklift certification is an asset but not required
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
