As the preferred supplier of outdoor power equipment parts and accessories since the 1950’s, Laser Sales offers over 6,000 SKUS for chainsaws, lawnmowers, cutoff saws, arborists, and snowblowers.
We are currently seeking someone responsible for overseeing the financial, human resources, and administrative functions within our organization.
Duties include:
Finance
- Perform general cost, managerial, and financial accounting
- Maintain the general and sub ledgers
- Conduct full cycle accounting including monthly JE’s, statement preparation, and analysis
- Reconcile daily bank and sales activities
- Calculate cash management needs and arrange for foreign currencies
- Ensure commercial insurances are current
- Prepare and submit payroll bi-weekly, including year-end T4 distribution
- Compile and submit periodic returns to various government agencies
- Lead the annual third-party fiscal review process
- Supervise A/P & A/R staff
- Assist in customer pricing development
- Other duties as required by the needs of the operation, which may go beyond the duties listed above
Human Resources
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and provincial requirements
- Organize recruiting process including advertising, interviewing, employment offers, and onboarding
- Maintain employee changes to payroll and benefits
- Record absences in Time Management system
- Coordinate terminations
- Other duties as required by the needs of the operation, which may go beyond the duties listed above
Required Skills:
- Advanced Excel
- Able to work independently using their own initiative
- Effective communicator with positive interpersonal competency
- Detail oriented
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and simultaneously
- Navision and Business Central experience is an asset
Required Experience:
- Recognized accounting designation (CPA) in good standing
- 5+ years of accounting/HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ or more years of leadership/management experience
- Payroll processing in a third party software
Work Location: This position is based at our London, ON office location. This is not a remote position.
Full time Monday – Friday 8:30am to 5:00 pm
Located on city bus route
Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
