We are currently on the lookout for a Shuttles Operator for tire deliveries.
Our Cornwall, ON distribution warehouse supplies tires to stores across Ontario and Quebec. Shuttle Operators (Tire Deliveries) are responsible for the operation of Company automobiles, vans and light trucks to deliver tires through our network. As Shuttle Operators navigate the same roads as our existing and potential customers, they are expected to represent the Company with exceptional customer service at all times.
A successful candidate has excellent communication and time management skills, is self-motivated, enthusiastic, has a strong work ethic, and will also have:
- Previous experience as a Shuttle Operator or Delivery Driver
- Valid Class G driver’s permit
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and process invoices/packing slips
- Comfortable with lifting (up to 70lbs)
- Proven ability to work unsupervised and independently;
- Strong commitment to be a team player, build trust and be accountable;
- Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines;
- Knowledge of tires and automotive parts is an asset, but not required;
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspection and electronic logs.
- Report any issues found during inspection to the logistics department and/or Warehouse Manager.
- Verify tire orders and complete POD form.
- Load tires on cube van by hand.
- Plan the most efficient route to save time and fuel.
- Deliver to customers and have POD form signed at each stop.
- Must complete multiple runs per day.
- Provide courteous and professional service
- Other duties as assigned
