The Opportunity
Sundance College is currently seeking to fill the permanent role of a Administrative Assistant. This role is an on-campus position at our campus in Victoria, BC.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring work area is tidy and presentable at all times.
- Greeting and tending to Visitors/ Students/ Applicants.
- Managing the switchboard by answering calls in a timely manner.
- Receiving parcels/ couriers and doing mailings.
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms.
- Organize and schedule appointments and plan and organize meetings.
- Liaise with management and other departments to handle requests and queries.
- Daily/weekly social media liaison.
- Photography: taking & uploading pictures of students & staff.
- Submitting short stories and captions for social media posts.
- Event support and coordination.
- Coordinating on leads, inquiries, and admissions initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary Diploma.
- Minimum 5 years of office related experience.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and general digital literacy)
- Marketing/photography interest or experience (student-focused photography, stories, and social media support)
- Growth-oriented mindset, with interest in contributing to both administrative and marketing tasks over time
- Social media, photography, and photo uploading experience.
- High attention to detail.
- Well organized and good time-management skills.
- Strong collaboration, teamwork & people skills.
- Reliable, positive, supportive ...a "people person".
- Desire to engage and contribute to a fun, fast-paced, supportive environment.
- An ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
