Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pet Groomer to join our team. This role involves working closely with pet owners to deliver personalized grooming experiences in a friendly and professional environment. Candidates should be comfortable handling various breeds and sizes of animals, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process.
Responsibilities
- Bathing, drying, and brushing pets to prepare them for grooming
- Trimming and styling fur according to breed standards or customer preferences
- Cleaning ears, trimming nails, and maintaining overall pet hygiene
- Handling pets gently and securely to ensure their safety during grooming procedures
- Communicating with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, or health concerns
- Maintaining a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and work areas
- Managing appointment schedules efficiently to provide timely service
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing client questions and feedback professionally
Experience
- At least 2 years of prior experience in pet grooming; Certified pet professional groomer preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger animals
- Compassionate attitude towards animals with patience and gentle handling skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Well-organized with good time management skills
