The Role
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented HVAC Installer to handle residential installations (furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems).
In this role, you will manage your daily workflow through our digital toolset: using Housecall Pro for job routing, customer communication, and digital job notes, alongside PLY inventory software for seamless equipment, parts, and van stock management.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation Excellence: Install residential HVAC equipment, refrigeration lines, ductwork, and electrical control wiring in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
- Digital Inventory & Stock Control: Utilize PLY inventory software on mobile/tablet to track job materials, log parts used, request inventory transfers, and maintain accurate van stock levels.
- CRM & Workflow Management: Use Housecall Pro for daily job dispatches, geofenced clock-ins, reviewing scope of work, uploading site photos, and updating job status in real time.
- System Commissioning: Perform start-up tests, check refrigerant charges, verify airflow, and conduct final quality checks.
- Customer Interaction: Explain system operation and maintenance to homeowners in a clear, professional manner.
- Safety & Maintenance: Keep company vehicles and tools organized, safe, and clean while adhering to all provincial health and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Licenses & Credentials:
- Valid Gas Technician 2 (G2) license.
- 313D or 313A Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic license (or equivalent registered trade status).
- Valid ODP (Ozone Depletion Prevention) card.
- Technical Experience: 3+ years of direct residential HVAC installation experience.
- Digital Software Proficiency: Experience using mobile field applications, specifically CRM systems (Housecall Pro) and mobile inventory tracking software (PLY or similar digital inventory tools).
- Driver's License: Valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License with a clean abstract.
- Core Competencies: Strong sheet metal fabrication/fitting skills, troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to high-standard workmanship.
