Warehouse Lead or Supervisor, Operations Manager
Job purpose:
To assist the Warehouse Lead or Supervisor and Operations Manager in the execution of TAS’ daily schedule.
To ensure all TAS outbound orders are assembled and verified.
To maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the warehouse, in accordance with HACCP and CFIA regulations.
Duties and responsibilities
Shipping and Receiving: Responsible for the shipping and receiving of inbound and outbound shipments.
- This includes counting freight: Warehouse workers must count all freight being picked up, delivered or prepared from inventory. Whenever counting is not possible, Warehouse Workers must rep0rt the inability to count freight to his/her Warehouse Supervisor. This extends to the verification of packaging integrity and denoting any issues on any freight bill being signed.
Inventory: This refers to the sorting, storing, taking of inventory, as well as keeping records and organizing for shipment merchandise stored in TAS warehouses.
HACCP and CFIA: Warehouse Workers are responsible for adhering to HACCP, CFIA and any other regulations inherent to TAS programs. They must also understand that TAS, being a Federally Inspected facility, maintains a close working relationship with CFIA. TAS Employees are obligated to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner in all dealings with CFIA representatives.
Monitoring Temperatures: TAS specializes in the transportation and storage of frozen and fresh food products, therefore Warehouse workers are obligated to monitor the temperatures of all products they deal with. Examples include reefers on trucks and temperature readings of product on-site throughout the day.
- They are also obligated to sign all receiving paperwork with a temperature reading upon reception.
- Professionalism: TAS Employees must understand that they represent the company and treat their colleagues, TAS' customers and affiliates with respect and consideration. Employees are to be friendly, polite and professional in all of their dealings for TAS. A well-groomed, clean appearance is mandatory.
- Communication: TAS Employees are to maintain good communication throughout daily job assignments with the Warehouse Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Secondary Education (High School Diploma)
- Strong interpersonal and social skills
- Sit down forklift certification 3+ years
- Reach truck certification 3+ years
- Ride on pallet jack certification 3+ years
- RF gun knowledge
Working conditions
Work performed within a cold, refrigerated environment (Between 32°F and -10°F).
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in weight, as occasionally there are hand-piling tasks to be completed.
Some overtime maybe required on regular working days as well as stat holidays.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
