LEARNING SUPPORT SUMMER SCHOOL TEACHER (x2)
Location: St. Francis School
Hours of work:
July 2-3: six (6) hours per day
July 6-24: five (5) hours per day
DESCRIPTION
Under the guidance of the Summer School Co-Ordinator, the Learning Support Summer School Teacher will work alongside members of the SCDSB Board ABA team to work together to foster independence, promote functional communication, and supporting sensory and emotional regulation within a supportive and fun summer camp learning environment.
They are responsible for the preparation of class material and assignments, marking, and parental contact.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Education and a member in good standing of the Ontario College of
Teachers
- Pr/Jr basic qualifications

REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of teaching in subject areas
- Broad knowledge of child development and teaching methods
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in English
- Ability to communicate and relate with people tactfully, diplomatically, and
professionally at all times
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis
