Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Part-Time evenings and weekends Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance or repair services, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience. This role requires strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and the ability to sell maintenance services while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Prior dealership, parts, or mechanical experience is highly preferred to effectively assess customer needs and coordinate repairs with our service technicians.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a welcoming environment.
- Listen carefully to customers’ concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended repairs and services, ensuring customer understanding.
- Prepare repair orders, estimate costs, and communicate timelines clearly.
- Upsell additional maintenance or repair services that meet customer needs, enhancing dealership revenue.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion of services.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Maintain detailed records of all service interactions and transactions in the shop management system. Costar experience preferred.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with automotive repair processes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information and scheduling clearly.
- Sales aptitude with experience in upselling services or products.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Knowledge of Costar management software is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive certifications are advantageous.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
