Butcher / Butcher's Assistant / Meat Cutter
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher / Meat Cutter to join our team in providing high-quality meat products to our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, meat cutting, and food handling, with a strong focus on food safety and customer service. This role involves preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Experience in butcher shop with beef is an absolute requirement. 2 years experience at least please. This is a halal butcher shop. we deal with beef, goat, lamb and chicken. Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer specifications and safety standards
- Handle food products safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and procedures
- Package meat products efficiently for retail display or wholesale distribution
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, tools, and equipment
- Assist customers with selecting meat products and answer any questions regarding cuts or preparation
- Ensure proper storage of meat products to preserve freshness and quality
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and processing
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages or expiration datesQualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat cutting, is required.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Ability to operate knives and other butchery tools safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail in cutting, packaging, and presentation of meat products
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Long hours with a commited team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
