Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part Time Invoice/Billing Clerk to join our finance team. This role is essential for managing accurate billing processes, maintaining financial records, and supporting the overall accounting functions of our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, proficiency with accounting software. Duties
- Prepare and process invoices using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Jane
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
- Perform account reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial records
- Enter data accurately into bookkeeping and accounting systems, ensuring all entries are complete and correct
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Assist with account analysis and reporting to support financial decision-making
- Communicate effectively with clients and vendors via phone and email, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Support the finance department with general bookkeeping tasks and administrative duties as needed
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Jane, Sage, PeopleSoft, and other relevant platforms
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Analytical skills for financial analysis and account review
- Effective negotiation skills for resolving billing discrepancies or disputes
- Strong math skills necessary for accurate calculations and analysis
- Good communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service experience
