Job Title: Journeyman Electrician
Job Description
This role focuses on residential new construction projects, where you will perform wiring, conduit and cabling work, piping installation, and both rough-in and finishing tasks while leading a small team of apprentices on various sites across the city.
Responsibilities

Pull electrical wire and run cable for residential new construction projects.

Install, bend, and terminate conduit to support residential electrical systems.

Perform rough-in and finishing electrical work in residential units, including preparation for inspections and final occupancy.

Cut, install, and secure piping associated with electrical and related systems.

Lead and mentor a team of 2–3 apprentices on site, providing guidance, direction, and quality checks on their work.

Maintain a clean and organized job site by performing regular site cleanup and ensuring materials and tools are stored safely.

Work on controls and automation tasks related to HVAC units as needed.

Collaborate with ownership and project stakeholders on design and programming opportunities where applicable.

Follow all safety procedures and work effectively in all weather conditions on various residential sites across the city.

Ensure work is completed on schedule and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Essential Skills
-
Journeyman Electrician experience in residential construction.
-
At least 2 years of experience in residential construction environments.

Strong electrical wiring skills, including pulling wire and running cable.

Hands-on experience with conduit installation, including bending and routing conduit.

Ability to perform both rough-in and finishing electrical work in residential units.

Experience cutting and installing piping associated with electrical systems.

Proven ability to lead and coordinate the work of 2–3 apprentices on active job sites.

Comfort working in all weather conditions on outdoor or partially enclosed job sites.

Knowledge of basic controls and automation concepts related to HVAC systems (exposure or willingness to learn).

Work Environment
This position is based on residential new construction sites located throughout the city. You will primarily work on wiring, piping, and finishing residential units, with some involvement in controls and automation work related to HVAC units. The standard shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Work takes place in active construction environments, both indoors and outdoors, and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions. The role is field-based and hands-on, requiring the use of standard electrical tools, conduit equipment, and materials on partially completed or fully active construction sites. The position offers serious potential to transition into a long-term role.
