We're seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to support a client recovering from hip surgery in the Yorkville neighborhood of Toronto. This is a temporary role expected to last 2-3 months as the client regains mobility and independence.
About the Client:
The client is an independent individual living in a full-service condo building with valet and concierge services. They are currently recovering from hip surgery and using a walker for mobility. Responsibilities:
- Provide mobility assistance and supervision while the client uses their walker
- Assist with bathing and dressing as needed
- Prepare simple meals and light meal prep

- Drive the client's car (Audi A4 automatic) to run errands including grocery shopping, pharmacy visits, and appointments
- Accompany the client on short walks in the neighborhood
- Wait nearby during showers for safety
- Walk with the client to nearby appointments (like the hairdresser two blocks away)
- Handle light tasks like emptying the dishwasher and ironing as needed
What We're Looking For:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract (required)
- Experience supporting clients with post-surgical recovery and mobility assistance
- Comfortable with personal care including bathing and dressing support
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with the Yorkville/downtown Toronto area preferred
- English-speaking
- Reliable, punctual, and brings positive energy
Schedule:
Mondays and Thursdays, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM, starting August 13th (possibly August 6th). This schedule may be adjusted based on the client's recovery progress and needs. The role is expected to last 4-6 weeks initially, with potential extension up to 2-3 months depending on recovery.
This is an excellent opportunity for a caregiver who enjoys supporting clients through recovery in a comfortable, well-resourced environment. The client is engaged, appreciative, and looking for someone who can provide consistent, quality support during this temporary recovery period.
