Core Education & Fine Arts (CEFA) is the most sophisticated Early Learning child program in Canada. We believe that quality care is essential, and that children need more than care to thrive. CEFA was launched in 1998 as an Early Learning School for children 1-6 and has grown into a full-service offering with many different formats to meet the ever-changing and demanding needs of parents today, including 5-hour Pre-Kindergarten (CEFA Minis), before and after school programs (CEFA Kids Club), and summer programs (CEFA Camps).
*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the school kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and managing kitchen staff.
*Duties*
- Plan and create innovative menus in line with culinary trends and company standards
- Supervise food preparation and cooking activities
- Monitor food costs and assist in ordering supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards
*Requirements*
- Proven experience working as a Chef in a restaurant or kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of food industry trends and techniques
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Understanding of food safety and proper food handling procedures
- Hospitality-driven mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences
