Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in repairing and maintaining farm machinery and heavy equipment. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, performing repairs, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently to support agricultural operations. The technician will also provide excellent customer service by delivering timely solutions and technical support.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of agricultural equipment
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly tools to repair or replace damaged components.
- Conduct heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or installations.
- Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation before returning it to service.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair status and maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dealership or heavy equipment repair; experience with agricultural machinery is preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working on farm machinery
- Experience in welding, assembly, electrical troubleshooting, and the use of schematics for diagnostics.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and perform heavy lifting as required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
