We are looking for a permanent full-time Fourth-Class Power Engineer for our Winnipeg facility.

Responsibilities:
· Maintain and monitor the refrigeration (ammonia), HVAC, electrical, building automation systems and other facility systems to ensure safe and effective/optimal functionality and are in compliance with provincial legislated standards.
· Implement and drive preventative maintenance initiatives to ensure daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual tasks are executed on time are documented using work orders.
· Inspect the facility and refrigeration system on a daily basis.
· Perform routine and emergency repair work on the building, grounds, installations and equipment (such as racking systems; mobile and dock equipment) including scheduled and demand maintenance as required.
· Start up, regulate, repair and shut down equipment.
· Conduct a variety of tests on the facility systems and equipment, as well as perform necessary system/equipment servicing and cleaning.
· Complete required documentation/ reports in the facility Maintenance Management System (Guide TI) to plan jobs, facilitate the creation of work orders to track all maintenance activities and generate and distribute the purchase orders for the supply of spares and services.
· Maintain an inventory of supplies, equipment and tools; evaluates/recommends purchase of related equipment and supplies to the Maintenance Supervisor.
· Coordinate with external contractors, as required.
· Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety Regulations and Food Safety programs.
· Ensure compliance with all warehouse rules, policies, procedures and standards are met, including HACCP and BRC.
· Perform other related duties, as required.
Education & Professional Experience:
· High School diploma or GED and must possess a valid Fourth-Class Power Engineer Licence recognized by the Province of Manitoba.
· Minimum of two (2) years’ directly related work experience.
· An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
· Journeyman level Refrigeration licence is considered an asset.

· Knowledge of fire, life, safety and building codes and standards with the ability to research and apply related codes and standards.
· Proficiency using a variety of computer programs (Email, Maintenance Management System, Internet Explorer, etc.)
· Ability to operate related equipment.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
· A Police Information Check satisfactory to the employer will be required from the successful candidate.
· Must be available to work a variety of rotational shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
· Must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts.
· Must be physically capable of performing the required duties and tasks.
· Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment.
