We are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Lift Service Technician to join our growing team.
Position Summary
The Automotive Lift Service Technician will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automotive lifts and other commercial automotive equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and servicing both residential and commercial automotive hoists and possess strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform annual inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety certifications
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
- Repair and replace lift components including cylinders, cables, pulleys, locks, motors, power units, and control systems
- Identify required replacement parts and prepare accurate repair recommendations
- Read and interpret service manuals, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Install, assemble, and commission residential and commercial automotive lifts and hoists
- Complete service reports and inspection documentation accurately and professionally
- Maintain a high standard of safety while working at customer locations
- Provide exceptional customer service and technical support
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of lift operation, safety systems, and industry best practices
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Experience identifying parts and preparing repair estimates
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Requirements
- Three (3) years experience installing and servicing automotive lifts and hoisting equipment
- 310S Automotive Service Technician License considered a strong asset
- Rotary Lift Certification considered a strong asset
- Valid Ontario G Driver's License with Clean driver's abstract
- Ability to lift and handle heavy components and equipment
- Comfortable working at heights and in various shop environments
- Willingness to travel to customer locations throughout Ontario
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
