Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de partie to join our culinary team. As a assistant to sous chef , you will play a vital role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication.
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to guests.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred, particularly in a restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper cooking techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
