Job Description:
As a Farm Hand/Operator at JMJ Farms Inc., you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our farm activities related to both grain and cattle operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cattle: Help in the calving season and assist with feeding and water during the season.
- Field Work: Tillage, harrowing, cutting and raking hay, swathing, combining, trucking, grain cart.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning equipment and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Yard Work and Organization: Assist with various tasks on the farm, including required yard work, cutting trees, cleaning equipment and ensuring clean and organized work areas.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Class 1 Drivers License is an asset but not required
- Previous farm experience is an asset
- Mechanical experience is an asset
Skills & Requirements:
- Great work ethic combined with an eagerness to learn
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred
- Positive attitude and team player
- Ability to be flexible and work long hours (Specifically, during calving season and the growing season)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding tasks
- Strong verbal communication and a great team player
Benefits:
