POSITION TITLE: HVAC Project Manager
Location: 2389 Scanlan St, London, ON N5W 6G9, Canada
Salary Range: $95,000-$105,000
PURPOSE:
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety of various project plans. Acting on the quality and discipline of ‘people dedicated to excellence’ in all efforts. The role is focused on detailed development, planning, organization and technical requirements making important contributions with the business.
Project Tendering
- Reviewing requirements of tenders
- Helping to ensure the project tender tasks are completed before the tender due date.
- Reviewing the tender before sending it to ensure all sections are covered and meeting the requirements.
- Helping with the material/equipment selection, pricing and ensures the accuracy of the details.
- Assisting in visiting project sites
- Preparing detailed project plans
- Preparing detailed project costs and pricing estimates
- Reviewing project risk and performance criteria for safe-successful execution
Project Opening & Kick-Off
- Prepare requests to open a construction file internally with all administration records
- Assisting in ordering material and equipment
- Plan and conduct formal project kick-off meetings with key project stake holders
Project Planning & Execution
- Preparing shop drawings and submittal packages
- Review equipment details for proper execution of the planned work
- Prepare design drawings and details
- Prepare engineering calculations and details for review with engineering team members
- Prepare detailed project schedules and reports
- Present project reports and status updates
- Prepare project safety plans, method of procedure documentation and customer specific forms
- Supervise onsite activities and complete work quality inspections
- Complete progress billing requests
- Monitor and update project financial requirements to keep with budgets
- Determine and prepare project scope change records
Project Completion & Closeout:
- Prepare and track project punch-lists
- Prepare redline and as-built drawing records
- Present closeout and operation-maintenance documentation with clients
- Ensure turnover of project information to service and sales departments
Project & Engineering Services Development
- Prepare plans for PES Department deliverables and initiatives with other team members
- Prepare and present project management principals for effective project management:
- Safety
- Accuracy
- Quality
- Profitability
- Review opportunities and prepare materials to present advancing industry and business concepts with new technologies and requirements
- Prepare and administer technical and regulatory standards, coordinate requirements with all impacted business parts
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Hvac Project Management experience
- PMP designation an asset
- Ability to travel to different job sites
