Position: Measurement Technician
Position Summary: As anexperienced Measurement Technician, this individual directly reports to the Field Supervisor and responsible for accurately measuring all required fields. This individual requires the tech to drive throughout Calgary and surrounding area to measure openings for shower glass, mirrors and shelving jobs. The technician needs to understand and follow company standards regarding deductions, legible drawings and communicating any obstacles or delayed work (i.e. tile missing, wall repair etc.) that may affect installation timeline. Tech must adhere to site safety requirements (orientations, PPE, FLHA’s) and carry themselves in a professional and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities:
· Utilize precision measurement tools to measure mirrors and shower glass dimensions accurately
· Ensure the openings and mounting surfaces’ rakes are accounted for
· Ensure the numbers add up when calculating measurements before sending over for cutting and ordering
· Record precise measurement data and results in a detailed and organized manner before production
· Communicate with Site Supervisors to confirm rescheduled dates for any unfinished jobs
· Ensure the measurement on wire shelving and wood shelving with glass are accurate
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Operational Tasks:
· Calculation final sizes of mirror and glass based on customer selections
· Complete and upload all paperwork to Trello
· Make sure writing is clear and all numbers add up
· Ensure all items are measured according to customer selections
· Drive and arrive to site on time or in timely manner
· Communicate with site supervisors to clarify any questions or if there are any concerns related to this job site

· Participate in weekly safety meetings to go over all safety reminders and new protocols
· Participate in Builders and external vendors’ site orientation for safety protocols and regulations
Qualifications and Requirements
· Completed high school diploma or GED (General Educational Development) or equivalent;
· Minimum of 2 years of direct work experience in residential construction, or related areas;
· Class 5 Drivers license with a clean driver’s abstract;
· Ability to read maps, navigate the city and surrounding areas, optimize daily routes;
· Proficient in reading, writing, addition and subtraction with the imperial measurement system;
· Good spatial awareness and ability to visualize 3 dimensional layouts;
· Read and interpret project blueprints;
· Experience installing shower glass and mirrors is preferred but not mandatory
· Excellent analytical skill, time management skill, organizational skill, and problem-solving skill;
· Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the production team;
· Knowledge of safety protocols and adherence to safety guidelines;
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment;
· Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
