The candidate must have completed their JD/LLB and ready to apply for membership of the Law Society of Alberta as a Student-at-Law. The responsibilities of this position are as allowed under the Rules of the Law Society of Alberta and they include:
(a) Practice of law under the supervision of the principal;
(b) Assisting the lawyers with legal research, and with preparation of legal documents;
(c) Meeting with clients - interviewing clients and providing advice as may be required;
(c) Attending courts, either alone or in conjunction with any of the lawyers in the firm;
(d) Assisting the lawyers in providing legal services as authorized by the Rules of the Law Society
