Diversified Staffing Services is currently seeking experienced carpenters to work with our clients in Calgary and surrounding areas.
Duties may include:
- Assist with construction, demolition, or maintenance projects
- Construct, erect, install and strip wood
- General labour duties
- Working outdoors
- Site cleanup as required
- Perform physical labor tasks as assigned by the supervisor
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Operate hand tools and power tools as needed
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
- Perform general cleaning and organization of job site
- Complete task hazard assessments and maintain a safe work environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Having valid tickets such as Fall Arrest Certificate, CSTS and WHMIS, etc. is an asset
- Own your own tools is an asset
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Experience in rough carpentry
- Have experience in Cribbing / Framing / Deficiencies etc.
- Have the ability to work with Superintendents and Foremen effectively and safely
