Our client is a beautiful lakeside resort located west of Red Deer, offering guests a unique destination experience surrounded by nature, recreation, and hospitality. As they continue to grow and enhance their operations, they are looking to welcome an experienced Assistant General Manager to join their leadership team and play an important role in supporting the day-to-day success of the resort.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key job functions are:
- Support the General Manager with the daily operations of the resort, including guest services, accommodations, food and beverage, events, maintenance, and recreational activities.
- Provide visible leadership throughout the property and support employees across various departments.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, scheduling, and ongoing development of team members.
- Help maintain high standards of guest service and ensure guest concerns are handled professionally and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with leadership, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to support operational priorities and projects.
- Assist with coordinating resort activities and operational readiness during ongoing improvements and development initiatives.
- Monitor daily operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and support solutions that enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Support health, safety, and compliance standards throughout the property.
- Assist with administrative responsibilities, including reporting, purchasing, inventory, and labour planning.
- Step in where needed to support the overall success of the resort and team.
Education:
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
Qualifications:
- Ability and willingness to live on-site at the resort.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and clean 5-year driving abstract required.
- Successful completion of RCMP Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in hospitality, tourism, resort operations, hotel management, or a related industry.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience required.

Base Salary: $50,000 – 70,000 per year
- Salary based on experience.
- Full benefits provided after probationary period.
Work Hours:
- 40 hours per week.
- Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as required.
- Flexible to work day or evening shifts
