Job Summary:
As a Skilled Labourer, an ideal candidate will have previous experience within the construction industry. You will be completing any task(s) that the client may need assistance with, using basic tools and power tools. Reporting to the site supervisor or the site’s foreman, you will follow instructions carefully and communicate effectively in order to complete the job efficiently. Fall protection ticket and harness is also an asset.
Skilled labourers are required to supply their own basic tools (hammer, tape measure, allen keys etc.) This is a mid level position and you may have to guide general labourers with tasks. All applicants must be able to abide by the on site health and safety rules.
Key Responsibilities
Working on site alongside ticketed and qualified trades professionals.
Using tools and equipment, build up or tear down.
Side-by-side assistance and management of the job sites with supervisors, construction foreman or project managers.
Moving heavy material and equipment around site.
Key Requirements
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40lbs).
Previous experience working in the construction industry with tools and equipment.
Solid understanding of proper use and maintenance of the required tools and equipment on-site.
Ability to work as part of a team with good communication skills.
Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Able to follow instructions by effectively communicating in English.
Punctual, reliable and a high level of attendance.
MUST Drive and have full class 5 license in Canada with own vehicle
