The Camrose Women’s Shelter Society is seeking a compassionate and confident Program Manager to lead our core shelter and outreach programs supporting women, children, and families impacted by Family Violence and abuse, and gender-based violence.
This leadership role oversees unionized front-line staff, ensures high-quality, trauma-informed service delivery, and supports a safe, supportive workplace culture.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise unionized program staff in a 24/7 shelter environment
- Oversee daily program operations, service quality, and staff scheduling
- Support staff through coaching, performance management, and collaboration within a union framework
- Ensure programs meet established policies, funder requirements, and safety standards
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support staff and respond to critical situations
- Work closely with community partners and internal leadership
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in social work, human services, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience staff supervision and performance management, ideally in a unionized or complex service environment
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and interpersonal violence
- Calm decision-making skills and the ability to lead in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
