Server Position
Location: Dixon Rd & Hwy 27, Etobicoke, ON
Status: Part-time and Full-time
Wage: 17.60/hour + tips (general minimum wage in Ontario as of Oct 1, 2025)
About the Role
We are a busy, well-known chain restaurant in the Dixon Rd & Hwy 27 corridor looking for a high‑energy, guest‑focused Server to join our front‑of‑house team. You bring the fun, connection, and sales skills that turn a meal into a deal!
What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests with a warm, engaging, and upbeat attitude.
- Build rapport quickly and create an entertaining, friendly atmosphere at the table.
- Present menu and drink features confidently and make tailored recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Upsell appetizers, desserts, and beverages (including alcoholic beverages) in a respectful, guest‑centred way.
- Accurately take orders, enter them into the POS, and coordinate with the kitchen and bar.
- Check back regularly to anticipate guest needs and resolve issues on the spot.
- Handle payments accurately and follow all cash/credit procedures.
- Follow all responsible alcohol service practices in line with Smart Serve Ontario requirements.
- Support teammates by helping with running food, pre‑bussing, and side duties during downtimes.

- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment (evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed).
- Required: Valid Smart Serve certification (or equivalent AGCO‑approved alcohol service training) prior to start date.
- Previous serving experience in a high‑volume chain restaurant is an asset but not required; we provide training.
