Job Summary
Due to continued growth, we are seeking multiple dedicated Banquet Cooks (Casual/On Call) to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing and cooking high-quality meals for banquet events, ensuring all dishes meet our standards for taste, presentation, and food safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and cooking within a food service or restaurant environment, with a strong focus on food handling and safety protocols. This position offers flexible hours to accommodate event schedules and is perfect for individuals passionate about culinary arts and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of banquet dishes according to menu specifications and guest requirements
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature and presented attractively
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
- Follow all food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure safety
- Serve plated meals efficiently during banquet events, ensuring timely delivery to guests
- Collaborate with catering staff to coordinate meal service during events
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or catering environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques
- Strong skills in meal preparation, cooking, and serving techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
- Basic kitchen experience including use of commercial kitchen equipment
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work on an on-call basis, including evenings, weekends, or during special events

Pay: $18.60 per hour
