Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Steel Band Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team on our AFTERNOON SHIFT (M-TH, 2:30PM-1AM). We would consider a part time schedule for the right candidate.
The ideal person will be responsible for operating various saws and cutting equipment to produce high-quality components. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Saw Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that materials are cut accurately and meet the specifications required for production.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain various types of saws, ensuring precision in cutting operations.
- Operate Forklifts as required.
- Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and production efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and troubleshooting issues.
- Assist in programming machinery for specific cutting tasks when necessary.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Band Saw Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with various cutting techniques.
- Ability to operate additional machinery such as cranes, shears, press brake machines, and welding equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent quality inspection skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and maintaining a clean workspace.
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
