Position Overview
Grant Hall Hotel is seeking an experienced and motivated Food & Beverage Manager to oversee daily operations of our Main Dining Room and Lounge (Browning Owl Lounge). This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in an upper-casual dining environment and is passionate about guest experience, team leadership & training, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations for the dining room and lounge
- Lead, train, schedule, and support service staff
- Ensure consistent guest service standards and handle guest concerns professionally
- Coordinate with kitchen and hotel departments to ensure smooth service
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost control
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Support event service and hotel functions as needed
- Anticipate operational challenges and take initiative to resolve issues before they arise
- Foster strong communication, accountability, and continuous staff development
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience (hotel experience an asset)
- Wine, liquor, and cocktails experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to train, motivate, and effectively manage staff performance
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of Toast or other POS systems and service standards
- Passion for hospitality, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence
Compensation
- Pay is negotiable
- Compensation may be structured as hourly or salaried

Pay: $42,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
