Recreational Gymnastics Coach (Part-Time)

Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Recreational Gymnastics Coach to inspire and support participants through fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate gymnastics instruction. In this role, you will create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where athletes can build confidence, develop fundamental gymnastics skills, and enjoy being active.
This is a part-time position, with 5–25 hours per week, depending on program needs and coach availability. Evening and weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead recreational gymnastics classes for children and youth, ensuring a safe, fun, and engaging experience.
- Teach and demonstrate proper techniques for fundamental gymnastics skills and progressions.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback to support skill development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment at all times.
- Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding participant progress, class expectations, and safety procedures.
- Follow LGF policies, safety standards, and coaching best practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience coaching or teaching gymnastics.
- Strong knowledge of gymnastics fundamentals and safe coaching practices.
- NCCP Foundations Trained, including Safe Sport Training, Respect in Sport, and Making Ethical Decisions.
- Ability to motivate and engage children and youth through positive reinforcement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Current First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening

Pay: $19.35-$27.75 per hour
