The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our Western Division team in Alberta. In this role, you will operate cranes and hoisting equipment to support critical underground construction activities, including foundation work, shoring, material handling, and equipment positioning on active job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate mobile cranes, boom trucks, or related hoisting equipment on underground and civil construction sites.
- Perform pre-operational inspections, maintenance checks, and ensure equipment is in optimal condition.
- Lift, move, and position heavy machinery, materials, caissons, shoring components, and other loads according to project requirements.
- Work closely with site supervisors, riggers, and crew members to coordinate lifts and maintain site safety.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, Alberta OHS regulations, and site-specific procedures.
- Complete required documentation, including lift plans, logs, and safety reports.
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Mobile Crane Operator certification (Red Seal preferred or equivalent Alberta certification for cranes 15 tons+).
- Minimum 3–5 years of proven crane operating experience, ideally in construction, underground, foundation, or heavy civil projects.
- Strong knowledge of crane safety protocols, rigging practices, load charts, and signaling.
- Valid driver’s license (clean abstract preferred); ability to travel to various Alberta project sites.
- CSO (Construction Safety Officer) or BSO certification is an asset.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and flexible hours as required by project demands.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $22.49-$51.96 per hour
