Wood Buffalo Paving Ltd. is seeking an experienced Milling Machine Operator to join our asphalt milling and paving team for the upcoming construction season.
This role is best suited for someone with strong equipment skills, good attention to detail, and experience operating milling equipment safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate asphalt milling equipment safely and efficiently
- Mill asphalt to required depth, grade, width, and project specifications
- Complete key cuts, tie-ins, transitions, patches, roadways, and parking lot milling
- Work closely with the foreman, ground crew, trucking, sweepers, and traffic control
- Monitor milling quality, production, and machine performance
- Complete daily equipment inspections, greasing, cleaning, and basic maintenance
- Identify and report equipment issues or repair needs
- Assist with setup, layout review, and jobsite preparation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and site requirements
- Support the crew with other duties as required
Required Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of asphalt milling experience preferred
- Experience operating Wirtgen or similar milling machines considered an asset
- Experience with municipal, commercial, highway, patching, tie-in, and key cut work
- Strong understanding of milling depths, grades, edges, and transitions
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record preferred

Working Conditions
- Seasonal construction work
- Overtime, weekends, evenings, night shifts, and out-of-town work may be required

- PPE is required at all times
- Must comply with company safety, drug, alcohol, and equipment policies
