Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Perform maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform welding or fabrication when required
- Maintain accurate records of work completed
- Follow all safety procedures and shop standards
- Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Minimum experience working as a heavy-duty or diesel mechanic
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and truck systems
- Experience with diagnostics and repair tools
- Ability to read manuals and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must be reliable and able to work in a shop environment
310T license is an asset but not required
Assets (Nice to Have)
- Dealership or fleet experience
- Welding/fabrication skills
- Experience with multiple truck brands (Freightliner, Volvo, Peterbilt, etc.)
